Ricky Sittig

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ricky Lynn Sittig, who left us peacefully on March 6, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on September 28, 1954, in Jennings, Louisiana, Ricky lived a life filled with love for his family and countless adventures that brought joy to those around him.

Ricky was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Rochelle Sittig, and was a proud father to his children, Cy (Lindsey) Sittig and Samantha (David) Thompson. He was also a cherished grandparent to his grandchildren, Ellie Thompson, Lucy Sittig, and Reid Sittig. Ricky's love extended to his siblings, Patricia Timmons, Dora (Edward) LeBlanc, Katherine Johnson, and Mickey Sittig, who will forever hold his memory close.

With a proud service history in the Marines, where he earned the rank of Corporal, Ricky carried the values of loyalty and commitment throughout his life. After his service, he built a successful career as a Pipeline Tank Manager in the oil and gas industry.

Ricky had a passion for life that was evident in everything he did. Whether he was riding his Harley, spending time at the crawfish farm, or enjoying the great outdoors while hunting, he always cherished moments with family and friends.

Visitation will begin on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 9:00 am until 11:30 am.

A Mass will be held in his honor at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church on March 10, 2025, at 12:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at 1:30 pm in a burial service at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.

Ricky's infectious smile, kind heart, and adventurous spirit will be missed deeply, but his legacy of love will continue to shine through all who knew him. Rest in peace, Ricky.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rosa Louviere Sittig; and his sister Henrieta Monceaux.
