Richard "Rip" F. Parsons

The family of Mr. Richard F. “Rip” Parsons, 82, of Jennings announces the passing of their loved one on August 4, 2020 in Kaplan, LA.

Mr. Parsons served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and was an Aircraft Inspector. He has been a lifelong resident of the community. He loved being outdoors and he enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was a great fan of Bluegrass music and loved playing it with his many friends.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, a son Russell and his wife Janet Parsons of Jennings and a brother, Ricky and his wife Karen Parsons of Welsh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold F. Parsons and Nora Sonnier Parsons; sister, Carmen Logan and brother, Louis Parsons.

Mr. Parsons cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home and a service will be scheduled at a later date. Interment will be in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Jennings on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the charity or church of choice.
