Richard Guillory

Funeral services for Mr. Richard Guillory will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Jay Alexius officiating.

Burial will be in Thornwell Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Guillory died Friday, August 26, 2016 at 11:18 a.m. in Jennings, Louisiana.

Mr. Guillory was a lifelong member of the Lake Arthur community and attended Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He was also a Thornwell Warehouse Association Stockholder. Mr. Guillory served his country in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam war.

Mr. Guillory loved spending time with his family and listening to Hank Williams, Sr music. He was a longtime farmer.

Mr. Guillory is survived by his wife, Lilly Benoit Guillory; two daughters, Amanda (Eric) Hanks of Patterson, La and Kimberly (Travis) Landry of Lake Arthur; three sons, Ivan (Rebecca) Guillory of Jennings, Terrie James Guillory of Lake Arthur, Christopher Guillory of Welsh and his boss and best friend, Kevin Berken; three brothers, Raymond Guillory of Vinton, LA, Tanise “Jr.” (Loretta) Guillory of Lake Arthur, Wayne Guillory of Lake Arthur, and twelve grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tanise Guillory, Sr. and Elliana Thibodeaux Guillory; seven brothers, Lennie, Lennis “Big”, Ivan, John Darrell, Norris, Rossley and Allen Guillory and granddaughter Serenity Rose Guillory Hanks.

Pallbearers will be Michael, Gabe, Brandon and Matthew Guillory, Kevin Berken and Edward Vidrine.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Hanks, Travis Landry, Terrie and Ivan Guillory.
