Funeral services for Mr. Richard “Satch” Moore, 60, will be held at the Jennings United Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016 with Revs. Jonathon Porter and Walter Parker officiating.

Burial will be in the Garden of Angels in Jennings Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Funeral home visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. Saturday until time of services.

Mr. Moore died at 11:28 a.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Moore was born and raised in Jennings, LA and a graduate of Jennings High School. He received an Agriculture Business Degree from USL. He moved to Welsh and started farming in 1980 and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to entertain and was an incredible cook.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Cormier Moore; one daughter, Leighton Katherine Moore of Lake Charles; two sisters, Nancy Moore Crandal of Wichita, Kansas and Jeanie Moore Cannon of Lafayette.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray Lowell and Katherine Nelson Moore; and one brother, Ray Moore, Jr.

Pallbearers will be his nephew Brandon Moore, brother-in-law David Cormier, Mike Redlich, Shelton Langley, Ricky Sittig and Faran Haley.

Honorary pallbearer will be his great-nephew Jacob Moore.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes contributions be made to the Methodist Children’s Home in Sulphur, LA.
