Richard "Charlie" Wayne Brown

Jennings Funeral services for Mr. Richard Charlie Wayne Brown, 63, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2009 in Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kenneth Pate officiating. Burial will be in the Doucet Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. today, Sunday and will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of service on Monday. Mr. Brown died Friday, June 6, 2009 at at his residence. Mr. Brown was a native of Jennings and resident of Iowa. He was a graduate of the 1963 Class of Jennings High School. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era and was employed as a floorhand for an Oil and Gas Company. Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. David (Kimberly) Miller of Iowa, La.; a son, Shannon Brown of Lake Arthur, La. his companion, Obie Curl of Iowa, La.; a sister, Mrs. Johnny (Minnie) Price of Lake Arthur, La.; two brothers, Larry J. Brown of Houston, Tx. and Terry J. Brown of Jennings and two grandchildren, PJ Miller and Cheynne Miller both of Iowa, La. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Gladys Landry Brown.
