Rena Mae Broussard

RAYMOND Funeral services for Mrs. Rena Mae Bellon Broussard, 75, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2009 in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial will be in the Lacassine Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday; and 8:00 a.m., Thursday until time of services. A rosary led by Msgr. Groth will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Broussard died at 4:10 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Broussard was a native of Lacassine and lived in the Jennings area most of her life. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the Altar Society at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. She was fond of children and was a baby sitter for at least 25 years. She dearly loved her grandchildren. Survivors include one son, Randy Broussard and wife Donna of Hathaway; one sister, Mary Joyce Gerard and husband John of Lacassine and two grandchildren, Heather Lee Broussard and Keith Michael Broussard. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Thia Marcantel Bellon; her husband, Walter Lee Broussard; one son, Carl Lee Broussard and brother Linny Bellon.
