A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Rebecca Landry Doucet, 79, of Jennings, will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Trey Ange officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Visitation for Mrs. Doucet will begin on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. and will close at 8:00 p.m. A rosary is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. and will close at 9:00 a.m. to leave for church.
Mrs. Doucet was born on January 29, 1944, in Iota to Clarence “Black” Landry and Enita Benoit Landry. She was a graduate of Iota High School. After her marriage to Mr. Ronnie Doucet, she devoted her life to being a homemaker and raising their three children. She enjoyed spending her time with her family and grandchildren, but she also enjoyed exercising, drawing, and painting and Council on Aging.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 59 years; two daughters, Tracey (Jimmy) Credeur of Jennings and Bethanie (Mike) Thibodeaux of Vernon, CT; one son, Stacey Doucet of Moss Bluff; grandchildren, Eddie Collado, Jacob (Haley) Doucet, Madison Thibodeaux, Caleb Thibodeaux, Collin Thibodeaux, and Weston Credeur, and one great grandchild, Lyla Mae Doucet.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mary Mae Klumpp, Jean LeJeune and Daisy LeGros and three brothers, Holland, Chester and Junior Landry; and one grandchild, Jessy Doucet.
