Raymond Lejeune, Jr.

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Raymond LeJeune,Jr., 83, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 13,2011 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with The Very Reverend Anthony Fontenot officiating. Burial will be in the Estherwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., today, Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services. A rosary led by Deacon Bennett McNeil will be recited at 7:00 p.m. today, Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. LeJeune died at 1:55 a.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at his residence. Mr. LeJeune was a lifelong resident of Jennings, served in the U.S. Army as a medic during the Korean Conflict, and was a retired truck driver in the oil and gas industry. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rita Mae LeBlanc LeJeune of Jennings; seven daughters, Velina (Calvin) Mire of Jennings, Wanda (Mike) Burlet of DeQuincy, Debbie (Johnny) Richard of Mermentau, Lorita (Clint Huval) Sonnier of Breaux Bridge, Cynthia Cormier of Jennings, Rebecca (Steve) Hebert of Iota, Ramona (Alan) Benoit of Belle Chasse; three sons, Mason (Debbie) LeJeune of Roanoke, Ray (Marlene) LeJeune of Mermentau, Jason (Annette) LeJeune of Roanoke; three sisters, Marie Cormier of Jennings, Jane Daigle of Jennings, Laura Cart Matte of Iota; 29 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Armanie Cormier LeJeune; and one sister, Vivian Daigle. The family would like to thank Hospice of Lake Charles, Jeff Davis Home Health, Therapy Center and Steve Van Hook, Dr. Claudia Florian and nurse Domingue for all their help and support.
