Raymond Charles Roberts

JENNINGS Funeral services for Raymond Ray Roberts, 49, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2009 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., today, Wednesday; and 8:00 a.m., Thursday until time of services. Mr. Roberts died at 2:06 p.m., Monday, July 27, 2009 in the Crowley American Legion Hospital. He was born in New Orleans, raised in Baton Rouge and attended the East Baton Rouge Parish Special Education School for 12 years. He was a resident of the Acadiana Region Supporters and Service Center of Iota for 20 years. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his parents, Lonnie Bruce and Clara Elizabeth Davis Roberts of Baton Rouge; one sister, Deanna Gail Roberts Lunsford and husband Matt, of Jackson, TN and one brother, Karl Wayne Roberts of Orlando, FL; two nieces, Cara and Emma Lunsford of Jackson, TN; and one nephew, Thomas Lunsford of Jackson, TN. Preceded in death by his twin brother, Richard Allen Roberts; one sister, Laurie Lynn Roberts; his maternal grandparents, C.M. and Ruby Davis and his paternal grandparents, Charles O. and Hettie Roberts. In lieu of flowers memorial may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
