Ray John Richard, Sr..

Mermentau Funeral services for Mr. Ray John Richard, Sr. 85, will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Mermentau with Rev. Donald Leger officiating. Burial will be in the Duhon Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. A rosary will be recited by the St. John Rosary Group Sunday evening 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Funeral home visitation will be today, Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Monday. Mr. Richard died Friday, October 22, 2010 at 4:12 p.m. in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Mermentau. Mr. Richard was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church of Mermentau and a retired operator of Port Aggregate. Survivors include two daughters; Brenda Richard Mallett and Judy Fruge and husband Paul both of Mermentau, two sons; Ray John Richard, Jr. and wife Debbie and Phillip Richard and wife Jackie both of Mermentau, his grandchildren, Ervin LeJeune, Jr., Jason LeJeune, Tracy LeJeune Touchque, Denise Navarre, Nicholas Mallett, Blake Mallett, Brenda Mallett, Joe Mallett, Ray Richard, III, Casey Richard, Dustin Richard, Sarah Richard, Jesse Richard, Jacob Maris, Kellie Richard Lege, Rachel Fruge, Sarah Fruge, and 21 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Rachel Fruge, Kellie Lege, Casey Richard, Jason LeJeune, Nicholas Mallett, Dustin Richard and Blake Malllett. Honorary pallbearers will be Ervin LeJeune and Jesse Richard.
