Mr. Aguillard passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, under the amazing care of the staff at The Carpenter House in Lafayette, LA.

Mr. Ray was the second of five children born to Loree Joseph Aguillard and Doris Jane Suire Aguillard on November 26, 1961, in Jennings, LA. He and his siblings were raised in Hathaway, LA where they spent their childhood among many other close family members, as well as friends that are more like family. He graduated from Hathaway High School where he was a very accomplished athlete. He spent most of his adult life in the oilfield, but eventually became a truck driver locally to be closer to home.

Mr. Ray was one of the most kind and gentle souls to walk on this side of heaven. His love for family, music, and dancing will be some of the memories his loved ones cherish the most. He had a very special way with children, whether they were related to him or not. He truly loved having the titles Dad, PawPaw Ray, Uncle Ray, and Nonk Ray. With a happiness and sweetness that resonated from the inside-out, it was hard not to love him.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, as well as both sets of grandparents.

Left to cherish his memory are his honey Lisa Lejeune, of Iota, LA; two sons, Brady Aguillard (Hayley) and Noah Aguillard (Paige), both of Marshall, TX; two daughters, Jordan Aguillard Cart (Ellis), of Iota, LA and Katie Ramsey (Ariel), of San Antonio, TX; 3 grandchildren, Harper, Olivia, and Stanley, all of Marshall, TX; one sister Sue Ellen Bernard (Barry), of Lake Charles, LA; three brothers, Dwight Aguillard, of Jennings, LA, John Aguillard, of Lake Charles, LA, and Kyle Aguillard (Judy), of Fort Worth, TX; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family has chosen cremation under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
