Phyllis Marie Landry

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Sidney (Phyllis Marie Shirah) Landry, 53, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2010 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Douglas Broyles officiating. Burial will be in Andrus Cove Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., Thursday; and 8:00 a.m., Friday until time of services. Mrs. Landry died at 8:09 a.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2010 in the Moss Regional Hospital in Lake Charles. Mrs. Landry was a lifelong resident of Jennings and a graduate of the Jennings High School class of 1974. She was active in Friends Supporting Friends, loved reading, gardening, cooking, cleaning, caring for others and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Sidney Landry of Jennings; one daughter, Tonya Gayle Landry Fontenot and husband Fred of Welsh; two sons, Charles Duplessie Landry and wife Shawna of Jennings and Jean Paul Landry and wife Katie also of Jennings; one sister, Sharon Bates and husband Ken of Newnan, GA; three brothers, Charles W. Shirah, Jr., Clarence Bernard Shirah and Steven Adrian Shirah all of Jennings; four grandchildren, Kylie Nicole Fontenot, Frederick Jude Fontenot, II, Nevaeh Ray Crochet and Ava Jolie Landry. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles William and Josephine Helen Trahan Shirah, Sr.; and one sister, Mona Kaye Shirah.
