Phyllis Lytle

The family of Ms. Phyllis Ann Smith Lytle, 68, of Jennings, passed away on February 7, 2025, in the Jeff Davis Living Center.

Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home.

Graveside Inurnment services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, beginning at 10:00 a.m., with Father Paul LaFleur officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her mother. 

Phyllis was born on December 20, 1956, in Jennings, LA, to Melvin Smith and Marlene Parsley Smith. She loved her family deeply and cherished every minute she had with them. Between bingo and the casino, you can often find her enjoying herself and having a great time. She will never be forgotten and will always be a guardian angel to her precious grandchildren. 

She is survived by her father, Melvin Smith; daughter, Alli Bertinot; son, Mark (Lisa) Mallet; sisters, Jessica LeJeune, Kaye Miller and Melissa (Joe) Cormier; brothers, Kyle (Angie) Smith and Edwin (Alice) Smith; grandchildren, Mark Mallet, Jr., Brooklyn Mallet, Sage Bertinot, Piper Bertinot, Sebastian Schexnyder, Ki Bertinot, Sierra Smith, and Axel Bertinot; and one great grandchild on the way.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her mom, Marline; a brother, Kevin Smith; and two grandchildren, Christopher Bertinot and Stevie Ray Mallet.
