Phayla M. Kratzer

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. for Ms. Phayla Marie Kratzer, 72 of Jennings at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Jude Fernando officiating.  A burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. 

Visitation for Ms. Kratzer will begin Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. and will continue until 1:30 P.M. 

Ms. Kratzer was born on May 1, 1950, to Lawrence and Peggy McMillin Kratzer.  With a passion and a true calling for education, she taught in the Catholic Diocese school system for over 20 years.  Once she retired, she continued to tutor many students. Ms. Kratzer also enjoyed baking and her favorite was cakes. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Cindy (Jimmy) Breaux of Jennings and a brother, Craig (Lee Ann) Kratzer also of Jennings, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jerry and Larry Kratzer. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to OLI Catholic School in Ms. Kratzer’s memory.
