LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Alery (Peggy Martin) Lopez, 70, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Funeral home visitation is from 3:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. today; and 8:00 a.m., Tuesday until time of services. A Cursillo Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., today in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Mrs. Lopez died at 6:03 a.m. Sunday, November 16, 2014 at her residence in Lake Arthur. Mrs. Lopez was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. She loved to play bingo, cards, going to the casino and cooking for her family. She loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband Alery Lopez of Lake Arthur; four daughters, Renetta Breaux and husband Kevin of Lake Arthur, Cynthia Oliver and husband Jeremy of Lake Arthur, Rachel Boudreaux and husband Neal of Gueydan, Regina Perry and husband Reese of Lake Arthur; four sons, Roger Lopez and wife Dora of Sulphur, Morgan Lopez and wife Becky of Lake Arthur, Douglas Lopez and wife Kim of Mire, Nathan Lopez of Iowa; one sister, Beatrice Guillory of Midland; 29 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Morgan and Eula Mae Lognion Martin; two brothers, Charles and Ernest Martin.
