 Funeral services for Mr. Paul Eunic Lyons, 81, of Jennings, will be held Thursday April 13, 2023, at 2:00 PM, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings with Brother Mickey Istre officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Paul was born February 16, 1942, to Etienne and Blanche Clavier Lyons in Church Point, Louisiana. He was a resident of the Jennings community and worked in the construction industry. He was a very sociable person who loved people and enjoyed making new friends. Paul was a regular visitor at the Council on Aging and could often be found in the Gazebo visiting. He was excited and honored to be chosen as the 2023 Mardi Gras King. He also enjoyed visiting with his neighbors.  He was a member of Bethel Church in Jennings. He loved his family deeply and every moment spent with them at family functions was a special memory. Paul was a “people person” and he will be missed by so many who looked forward to his daily visits.

Paul was looked after by his sister Ella Richard until her passing and then by her daughters Pat, Jennifer, and Brenda.

Those left to cherish his memory are numerous nieces and nephews and many friends and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Gladys Dugas, Shirley Guilbeaux, Nelda Lyons, and Ella Richard; and brothers, Etienne Lyons, Jr., Louis Lyons, Helman Lyons and Nelson Lyons.

Pallbearers are:  Jessica Meche, Damond Meche, Kendall Meche, Brent Meche, Hubert (T-boo) Richard, Jr., and Abby Richard.

Honorary Pallbearers are Christopher Janice and Dustin Oliver
