Jennings A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Patricia Cassidy Orgeron, 80 on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Mrs. Orgeron died Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 2:22 A.M. at her residence. Funeral home visitation will be held Friday, October 30, 2015 from 2 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary being recited at 6 :00 P.M. Visitation on Saturday will be from 8:00 A.M. until the time of service. She was a native of Jennings and a graduate of the University of Louisiana (formerly SLI) where she received her degree in Speech and Hearing. Mrs. Orgeron was an active member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church where she has been a member of the Ladies Altar Society, Serra Club, Eucharistic Minister, Lector, RCIA, a minister to the choir and to the sick. She was also a former member of the City of Jennings Zoning Board. Along with her church commitments, Pat loved to travel. She traveled throughout the United States, Latin America and Europe. She is survived by five sons: Lloyd (Maryanne) Orgeron of Katy, TX, Stephen Orgeron, Sr. of Iowa, LA, Mark (Cheryl)Orgeron of Quartzsite, AZ, Matt (Sonja) Orgeron of Port Acres, TX and Edward Orgeron of Jennings, LA and a surrogate daughter, Kerri Clement of Sulphur, LA, fourteen grandchildren; Crystal (Cliff) Vanicour, Rusty (Chelsey) Orgeron, Kelly Orgeron, Stephen Orgeron, Jr.., Corey Orgeron, Jacob Orgeron, Lindsay Orgeron, Aron Orgeron, Sarah Eliason, Danielle (Jason) Swain, Benjamin (Andrea) Orgeron, Michael Orgeron, Amy Orgeron and Anna Orgeron and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Orgeron was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Della Fontenot Cassidy, her husband, Lloyd Orgeron, Sr. ,and four brothers, Tom, Al, Bob and Charles (Buddy) Cassidy. .
