He received his degree in Petroleum Engineering from Oklahoma University in 1942. He was a loyal Sooner Alumni and faithful fan until his death. After graduation, he married the love of his life, Jean Charlotte Ottis. He proudly served in World War II in Italy and the Philippines as a Captain. In 1999 he moved to Lake Arthur, Louisiana to be near his children and their families. His top priority was making sure his children and grandchildren had the opportunity for higher education. Most important of all was fulfilling his dream of being the patriarch of his family.
