Nolan R. Knight

A gathering of family and friends for a viewing of Mr. Nolan Roy Knight, 60, of Jennings, will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel.  A memorial will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., with a small reception to follow.

Cremation will follow under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. His desire was to have his remains placed in Black Lake near his favorite fishing camp and as well as in Alaska, where his family spent summers.

Nolan was born August 25, 1960 in Jennings. His parents are William Noel Knight and Donna Kay Bendily Knight.  He was raised in Jennings but moved away for a time.  He acquired two Associate Degrees and worked as a banking consultant for the past 30+ years.   He loved his work as much as he loved fishing, the LSU Tigers and almost as much as he loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, D’Arcy Knight; daughters, Michael Melisse Knight, and Alexandria Knight; sons, Thomas Knight, and Nolan Collin Knight, all of Jennings; sisters, Stacey Knight Mejia of Lafayette, Jodi Knight of Houston, and Jill Knight Nalty of Metairie; brother, Billy Knight of Jennings.

This incredible man will be missed by all the people he has touched throughout his lifetime. He is now resting in the arms of his Lord and Savior.
