Nola Noelani Apo Melton, 84, passed away peacefully in her residence on September 27, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Melton was born on October 18, 1936, on the Island of Maui, Hawaii. She was raised and lived there for nearly 25 years. She then married the love of her life, James J. Melton and moved to California then eventually moved to Louisiana. She enjoyed playing bingo with her family and friends and often went fishing and crabbing as well.

She is survived by her daughters, Collette (James) McKelroy and Colleen (Kyle Broussard) Melton both of Jennings; Sons, Arthur (Becky) Melton of Mermentau and Jeramey (Melinda) Melton of Lake Charles; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband James; son, John Melton and one grandson Lee Lantz, all of Jennings.

The family is respecting Ms. Nola’s wishes with cremation under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
