Nola Mallett

The family would like to announce the passing of Nola Mae Mallett, who left us peacefully on February 25, 2025, at the age of 83. Nola was born on August 27, 1941, in Evangeline, Louisiana, and spent her life proudly calling Lake Arthur her home.

Nola was a devoted homemaker and took immense joy in cooking, crocheting, and sewing. However, her greatest love was for her grandchildren, with whom she shared countless memories and endless affection.

She is survived by her son Wilfred (Bethany) Mallett, her daughter Racheal Mallett, and a host of beloved grandchildren: Cheb Lejeune, Taylor Latiolais, Ryan Stroder, Bryan Stroder, Daniel Stroder, Grant Reber, Dutch Mallett, Tanner Mallett, Jason Lejeune, Darryl Lejeune, Darcus Lejeune, Keith Lejeune, and Lucas Lejeune, Tory Lejeune, and numerous great grandchildren.

In honoring her memory, a Funeral Service will be held on February 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Miguez Funeral Home with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. Prior to the service, a Rosary will take place at 1:30 PM, with a Public Viewing from 9:30 AM until the time of the rosary.

After the service, Nola will be laid to rest at Andrus Cove Cemetery in Jennings, Louisiana, at 3:00 PM. We invite all those who knew and loved her to join us in celebrating her life and the joy she brought to everyone around her.

Nola was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Mallett, Versie Glass Rials; her husband Wilfred Mallett, Sr.; children, Ellen Dale Lejeune, Barney Lejeune, Bryan Lejeune, Robert Mallet, Dwayne Lejeune; and her grandson, Roy Mallett.
