Nena Marie Prejean

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Nena Pelly Prejean, 83, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 in the South Chapel at Miguez Funeral Home with a member of the First Church of Christ to officiate. Burial will be in the Kie Hebert Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday; and 8:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of services. Mrs. Prejean died at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 in the Lafayette General Hospital. Mrs. Prejean was native of Crowley and a 57 year resident of Jennings. She was a faithful member of the First Church of Christ, and she loved to sew and spend time with her family. Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Guidry and husband Kirk of Andrus Cove, Faye Viator and husband Russell of Hathaway; two brothers, Dallas Pelly and wife Mildred of Crowley, Lawson Pelly and wife Ellen of Vidor, TX; three grandchildren,Britney Viator Hodges and husband Grady of Bauxite Ark, Lorenzo Toby Viator of Lake Charles LA, Kody Guidry of Andrus Cove and five great-grandchildren: Nina Catherine Hodges, Jack Hodges, Kynsley, Kaison and Kalon Viator and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elphage and Edna Guidry Pelly; her husband, Lorenzo Prejean; two grandchildren Russell Viator 11, Ethan Guidry and one sister, Della Pelly Mott.
