Nealis Joseph Dartez

Mr. Nealis Joseph Dartez, 76, passed away at 12:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in the Golden Age Nursing Home of Welsh.

His wishes were to be cremated. Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday March 1, 2020 at the Istre Cemetery in Mermentau Cove. Friends and family are invited. The arrangements are under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Mr. Dartez was a lifelong resident of Jennings and a retired truck driver in the oil industry. 

His survivors include two daughters, Eva Trahan of Grand Lake, Jamie Dartez of Houston, TX; four sons, Toby Dartez of Alvin, TX, Todd Dartez of Welsh, Ben Dartez of Opelousas; Patrick Dartez of Hathaway; grandchildren, Devon Morvant, Chazton Trahan, Tyler Dartez, Cheyenne Dartez, Debra Dartez, Joseph Dartez, Brooklyn Atteberry; great-grandchildren, Sebastion Morvant, Taylor Bale, Elizabeth Cormier and Rodney Cormier, Jr..

Mr. Dartez is preceded in death by his parents, Granville and Vernice LeBlanc Dartez; his first wife and the mother of his children, Barbara Ann Menard Dartez, his second wife, Barbara “Bobbie” Martin Dartez and grandchild, Serenaty Joy Dartez.
