LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Natalie Natsy Marie Arceneaux Rhodriguez, 87, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 21, 2011 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Charles DuBois officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:30 Sunday; and 8:00 a.m. Monday until time of services. A rosary led by the Catholic Daughters will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Rhodriguez died at 8:00 a.m., Friday, February 18, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Rhodriguez was a native of Welsh and a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur. She was a graduate of the Lake Arthur High School class of 1941 and SLI, now ULL, in 1944. She was a retired school teacher, member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, and the Lake Arthur Library Club. She was also a member of the Womens Republican Club, Entre Nous and was a board member for the Zigler Museum. She loved to play bridge and belonged to three different bridge clubs. She was known by many people as the chicken soup and gingerbread lady . Mrs. Rhodriguez is survived by her husband, Harold Rod Taco Rhodriguez; one daughter, Florence Housewright and husband Roy Max of Ardmore, OK; two great-grandchildren, Dalton and Drew of Rosharon, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Edwin and Florence Olano Arceaneaux; her son, John Michael Rhodriguez, her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Arceneaux; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Olano and five brothers, Paul, Leon, Morgan, Lyon Keith and Neal Arceneaux. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or St. Jude Childrens Hospital in Mrs. Rhodriguezs name.
