Naomie Lanthier

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Naomie Thibodeaux Lanthier, 98, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in Our Lake of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., today, Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. A rosary led by the Catholic Daughters will be recited at 7:00 p.m. today, Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Lanthier died at 8:07 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2013 in the Camelot Brookside Nursing Home in Jennings. She was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur, a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters. Her favorite past-time was working in her yard. Survivors include three daughters, Wilda Trahan and Una Champagne both of Lake Arthur, Susan Storm of Knoxville, TN; three sisters, Alice Martin, Ann Mathieu , Edith Gutierrez; one brother, Wilton Thibodeaux; ten grandchildren, Kevin Trahan, Julie LaCombe, Colette Manuel, Tony Trahan, Camala Hebert, Jeffery Champagne, Jude Champagne, Paula Broussard, Tina Champagne and Connie Storm; ten great-grandchildren, Jennifer Cormier, Jared Manuel, Brittany Simon, Ashlyn Reed, Josh Trahan, Robbie Trahan, Nicholas LaCombe, Lindsey LaCombe, Chelsea Champagne and Katlin Champagne; and 12 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kevin Trahan, Tony Trahan, Jeffery Champagne, Jude Champagne, Marlon Hebert and Jared Manuel. Mrs. Lanthier is preceded in death by her parents, Evariste and Editha Thibodeaux, her husband Jessie Lanthier, four sisters and three brothers. The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Camelot Brookside, her sitter Angie Lacombe, Heart of Hospice. They all were wonderful to her and a special thanks to Father Jeff Starkovich.
