Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Jane LaVergne, 81 will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jimmy Broussard officiating.

   
Burial will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.

   
Funeral home visitation on Monday will be from 3:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary being recited at 6:00 P.M. by Mrs. Grace Trahan.  Tuesday visitation will be from 8:00 A.M. until the time of service.

    
Mrs. LaVergne died Thursday, December 31, 2016 at 6:30 P.M. in the Jefferson Davis Living Center.

   
Mrs. LaVergne was a native of Morse and lifelong resident of Lake Arthur.  She was a homemaker and she loved crafting, bingo and spending time with her family.

    
She is survived by her daughter; Barbara Jean Benoit of Lake Arthur, three sons; Roger Dale, Edgar Wayne and Ivan Frank LaVergne, all of Lake Arthur, 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

    
Mrs. LaVergne is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Astazie Trahan and her husband, Frank LaVergne, four sisters and three brothers.
