Nancy Jill Watkins passed away on April 24, 2023, at her home in Welsh, LA, surrounded by her dear family. Jill was born on October 24, 1963, to Elizabeth “Libba” and Bobby Watkins of Fenton, LA. She was a graduate of Welsh High School, McNeese State University and Delta Business School in Lake Charles, LA.

She was self-employed as a landscaper and was happiest when she was making someone’s flower beds look beautiful! The flower beds in the Welsh area will never look the same. 

Jill is survived by her sons, John and Alex Bebee of Fenton; her daughter, Madilyn Martin of Welsh; her grandchildren, Farrah and Grayson Bebee of Fenton; her brother, Chet Watkins of Welsh and her mother, Libba Watkins of Welsh. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and many cousins. Jill’s closest friend, Rachel Fontenot Nevils, also survives. Preceding Jill in death are her father, Bobby Watkins; her paternal grandparents, Audrey and Wilbur Watkins of Fenton and her maternal grandparents Wanda and Charles McNair of Kinder.

A celebration of Jill’s life will be held at a later date.  Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home, Jennings, LA.
