Myrna Gayle Oliver

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Myrna Henry Oliver, 61, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2014 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial will be in the Thornwell Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Monday, and from 8:00 am until 1:30 pm on Tuesday. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Oliver died at 10:15 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 in the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice, LA Mrs. Oliver was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur. Mrs. Oliver was a 1971 graduate of Lake Arthur High School and a retired bookkeeper. She was a loving and devoted, wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Dwight Oliver of Jennings; two (2) daughters and sons-in-law, Misty Oliver Smith and husband Danny of Jennings, Mandy Oliver Gauthier and husband Stephen of Lake Arthur; two (2) sons and a daughter-in-law, Shawn Oliver of Phoenix, AZ, Derek Oliver and wife Beth of Jennings, LA; four (4) sisters and brothers-in-law, Thelma Kopnicky of Welsh, LA, Claudine Dupuis and husband Leland, Faye Ardoin and husband David, all of Jennings, LA, Pam Bertrand of Lake Arthur, LA; one (1) brother, Jude Henry of Dallas, TX; Nine (9) grandchildren and her Special Cousin/Sister/Best Friend, Jackie Savoie. Mrs. Oliver is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Nola Trahan Henry and a sister, Walterine LaFleur.
