Funeral services for Ms. Mona Fay Deshotel, 59, of Jennings will be held Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. with Father Jay Alexius officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Mausoleum under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Ms. Deshotel passed away, Friday, May 19, 2017 at Jennings American Legion Hospital.

Visitation for Ms. Deshotel will be Saturday, May 20, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 with a Cursillo rosary at 6:00 p.m. It will resume again, Sunday, May 21 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

Ms. Deshotel worked as a Health and Safety Manager in Construction for Spectra Entergy and especially enjoyed to travel with her job. She loved going to the Casino, playing cards and watching her grandchildren and their friends play sports.

She is survived by her life partner, Russell Petry; her daughter, Regina Hornsby and her husband Chris of Lake Arthur; her stepdaughter, Dawn Petry Gill of Destrahan; her stepson, Dax Petry of West Monroe; three sisters, Sue and husband Mike Fontentot of Deridder; Pam Deshotel of Crowley; Nadine and husband Ray Dees of New Iberia; half-sister, Betty Leleux of Lacassine; brothers, Wayland Deshotel of Campti; JR Deshotel of Tallulah; half-brother, Jimmy Deshotel of Little Chenier; and grandchildren, Alexis, Kali, Alayah Hornsby and Brandon and Payton Gill.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Joseph and Norma Deshotel; grandson, Collin Hornsby and half-brother Kenneth Deshotel.

Carrying Mona to her resting place will be Willis Deshotel, Corey Deshotel, Mike Petry, Wayland Deshotel, Mike Fontenot, Greg Hornsby and Dax Petry. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Dees, Jimmy Deshotel and JR Deshotel.
