Molly Young

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Molly LaFosse Young, 68, of Lake Arthur, will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Young will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, and continue until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m.  It will resume Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until 9:30 a.m.

Mrs.  Young was born in Gueydan on October 7, 1953, to Harry and Anna Mae Marceaux LaFosse.  She was a graduate of Goretti High School.  She worked as a manger in the retail industry.  Mrs. Young was very involved in her community.  She was a devoted member of the Ladies Altar Society and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Rachel Young of Sugartown; three sons, Shane Young of Hathaway and Jamie and Tyler Young, both of Lake Arthur; two brothers, Mike LaFosse of Elton, and Roy LaFosse of Lake Arthur; four grandchildren, Christopher Young, Makayla Boudreaux, Dustin Young and Jacoby Young and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Valentine Young; her parents and brother, Harry LaFosse, Jr.
