Minnie Elaine Brown Price, 74, of Lake Arthur passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Price was born on March 10, 1950, in Jennings, LA to Fred and Gladys Landry Brown. She spent her entire life feeding children, making sure no one would ever be hungry and to honor her the family will plant an apple tree so that she may feed the children forever. Her husband was a commercial fisherman, and she sold the seafood for him. She worked in the school cafeteria for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Price; daughter, Jeannie (Chad) Price; son Freddie Price; brother, Larry Brown; six grandchildren, Dylan Price, Destiny Price, Kerrie Suire, Meagan Leckelt, Corra Miers, Micheal Miers; and four great grandchildren, Kayson Stroder, Olivia Stroder, Kree Leckelt, and Graham Louviere.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Richard, and Terry Brown.

The family is honoring her wishes of cremation under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
