Funeral services for Mindy Ann Kennedy, 21, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2020 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings with Carl Guidry officiating with cremation following the service.

Funeral home visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. Sunday until the time of service.

Mindy passed away at 11:40 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2020 in the Lafayette General Hospital.

She lived her entire life in the Jennings area. She loved her cats dearly.  She enjoyed painting, spending time with her family and friends, and most of all she loved spoiling her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her Mother and stepfather, Marjorie (Charles) Britt Morvant; grandmother, Joan Kennedy; sisters, Kristy (John Cairns) Kennedy and Elizabeth Morvant both of Jennings; two brothers, Adam (Olivia) Morvant and Marco Velasquez both of Jennings; aunts, Terri (Don Williams) Britt, Joni (Stanley) Layman, Deanna (Kevin) Cinquemano, Donna (Anthony) Babineaux; uncle, William “Billy” Britt;  nieces, Mackenzie Leopold, Dilia Morvant, and Maya Velasquez; nephews, Elijah Morvant, Jaydn Morvant, Terry Hickman, Khalil Beroid, and Draven Welch;  devoted boyfriend Jentrel Zeno; and finally her beloved cats Alphabet Byron Kennedy and Miles Shefield Kennedy.

Mindy is preceded in death by her father, Robert Kennedy. Her grandparents Clarence “Bill” Britt, Sally Britt, and Donald Kennedy.

In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hobo Hotel for Cats in Lake Charles.
