Mildred Broussard

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Weekley Broussard, 78, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 13, 2014 in the Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in the Shell Beach Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be held Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and 8:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Broussard died at 7:25 a.m., Thursday, July 10, 2014 in the Camelot Brookside Nursing Home of Jennings. Mrs. Broussard was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur. She loved spending time with her family, loved to fish, boat ride, camp, bird watching and working with handicapped children. She also loved to dance and listen to music. She is survived by two daughters, Ramona Broussard of Lake Arthur, Kristi Fontenot and husband Joseph of Lake Arthur; one son, Tony Broussard of Houston, TX; one brother, Ronald Weekley of Lake Arthur; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Broussard is preceded in death by her parents Edmires and Enol Richard Weekley, daughter, Geraldine Broussard, three sons, Kirby Broussard, Dale Broussard, Sr. and Kenny Broussard; one sister, Beverly Weekley Broussard; one brother, Ravis Weekley and one granddaughter, Alicia LaCombe.
