Jennings
Michael “Mike-Mikey-Worm” Steven White, 37, went to be with our Lord and Savior on December 20, 2023.
Mike was born on November 21, 1986, to James “Bobby” and Sherry Doucet White. He attended school in Jennings, went on to receive his GED, became an licensed plumber and was studying for his Master Plumbing license. Mike lived and worked in Colorado at the time of his passing.
He had a love of fishing and being outdoors and he enjoyed watching and playing basketball. He especially loved being with family and friends who became family to him. He was a gentle giant who gave the best bear hugs and ended each conversation with “I love you MORE!”. He had a love for babies, the elderly, and animals, especially cats, which he passed on to his daughter and nieces and nephews. Mike felt like his greatest accomplishment in life was his precious daughter, Mikenzie Rose.
Mike is survived by his parents; siblings, James “Robbie” (Carrie) White III, of North Platte, NE, Mitchell “Mitch” (Andrea) White of Hathaway, Melissa Klumpp of Lake Arthur, Marguerite (Barry “BJ”) Randolph of Jennings; daughter, Mikenzie Rose White and the mother of his child, Tori Foster of Mer Rouge, LA; three aunts, Bonnie White, Cynthia (Ricky) Landry, Jolene (Carl) Quebedeaux and Godfather, Gerald (Lisa) Doucet. He is also survived by fourteen nieces and nephews, Trayton and Neva White, Kaycee (Conner) Mooney, Laynee and Myka Boltz, Brance (his birthday buddy) Briar and Brea Baca-White, Logan Simar, Maddie-Lyn, Wilson and Stella Klumpp, Kamryn and Nyalie Randolph. Also, a great-niece and great-nephew on the way. He is also survived by a large extended family of great-aunts, uncles and cousins, along with many friends here and in Colorado.
Mike was welcomed into heaven by his paternal grandparents, James and Anna White, maternal grandparents, Doris and Tedine Doucet, godparents, Gerald and Gertie Doucet and cousin, Jason Benoit.
Mike was loved deeply and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him and be graced by his crooked, little-boy smile and see the twinkle of mischief in his eyes. He was the youngest of the family and was so spoiled by all and will continue to enjoy that life in heaven with his family already there.
Fly high Mikey, till we meet again.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, in the South Chapel at Miguez Funeral Home from 12:0 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a rosary recited at 3:30 p.m.
