Michael "Mike" O'Quinn

Funeral services for Mr. Ulysses Michael O’Quinn will be held on Saturday November 20, 2021 at Living Word Assembly of God Church of Jennings LA at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Mickey Istre officiating. The family will honor Mr. O’Quinn’s request of cremation following the service.

Visitation will begin on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Visitation will resume at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, until the time of service.

Mr. O’Quinn passed away on November 17, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on January 25, 1945, to Elton Joseph O’Quinn and Mary Stella Suarez O’Quinn in Sulphur, Louisiana.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 18 years, Vanessa Elkins O’Quinn of Jennings; children, Melissa (Mohsen) Rashidi of Barling AR, Angela (Pam) O’Quinn-Thomas of Moss Bluff, LA, Michael Shawn (Lanette) O’Quinn of San Antonio, TX, April O’Quinn of Thornwell, LA, and Shannon (Jude Tibay) O’Quinn of Denver, CO; step children, Dale (Melonie) Dolin of Charleston, WV, Amy Dolin of Douglasville, GA, Josh Self of Jennings, LA and Erin Thibodeaux of Jennings, LA, brother, Elton Joseph “Joe” O’Quinn of Sulphur, LA; eight grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Dolores O’Quinn; his parents; and sisters, Patricia Mayon and Kathleen Williams.
