Mervin Lee Sanders

Mervin Lee Sanders, 90, of Sulphur, LA passed away in a local hospital on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

Mervin was born on February 3, 1930 in Basile, LA to Jessie and Louise Sanders. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and dancing to Cajun music. Mr. Sanders served in the United States Army for 21 years and served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War.  

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Cilla LaFleur of Smithville, TX and Jeff Sanders of Sulphur, LA.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Sanders and son, Gregory Sanders.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 1^st Baptist Church of Carlyss. Visitation will begin from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 1^st Baptist Church of Carlyss under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Cremation will be entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home.
