Jennings Funeral services for Mrs. Minos (Merle Veola Conner) Broussard, 85 will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Fontenot and Rev. T. L. Herlong officiating. Burial will be in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Visitation will be held Monday, December 21, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. A rosary will be led by Barbara Mott Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Broussard died Sunday, December 20, 20009 at 9:30 a.m. in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Broussard married Minos Broussard on December 31, 1945. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary. She is survived by two sons: Benton Wade Broussard and wife Charmienne, and Leland Dale Broussard all of Andrus Cove; two grandsons, Brandon Paul Broussard and wife Cassie of Andrus Cove and Jared (Butch) Lee Broussard of Jennings, two granddaughters, Jodi Lynn Landry and husband Blaine of Andrus Cove and Tiffany Nicole Broussard of Jennings; two great grandsons, Bradley Joseph Broussard and Ross Adam Landry of Andrus Cove, one great granddaughter, Reagan Merie Landry of Andrus Cove; two brothers Herbert Hewitt Conner and wife Bradley of Lake Charles and Lynn Conner and wife Joyce of Gonzales; four sisters, Vivian Mae Marcantel and husband Bud of Lake Charles, Esther Mae Guillory and husband Willie of Welsh, Jessie Hymel of Lake Arthur and Shirley Mouton and husband Bennett of Ragley and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Broussard was preceded in death by her husband, Minos Joseph Broussard, a son, Carl Bradley Broussard, her parents, Amada and Amadia Guillory Conner and four brothers, Landry, Cliff, Elais and Ernest Conner and one sister, Zilda Bourgeois. Mrs. Broussard will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and servant of God. She will rest in peace to watch over us all and will always be remembered for her kindness and ability to love unconditionally. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and honorary pallbearers will be her great grandchildren.
