Melva Ledoux

December 20, 1939 — February 11, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melva LeDoux, who left this world peacefully on February 11, 2025, at the age of 85.

Melva was born in Sharon Grove, Kentucky, on December 20, 1939, to Wilmer and Roxie Borders. She was a dedicated homemaker, whose life was devoted to nurturing her children and grandchildren. She took immense joy in family gatherings and cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. A woman of deep faith, Melva was a proud member of Christ's Church of Jennings, where she found strength and solace in her relationship with the Lord.

Melva is survived by her beloved daughter, Lisa (Greg) Trahan; her sons, Scott (Melissa) LeDoux and Brent (Cheryl) LeDoux; her dear sisters, Maude (Buford) Smith and Peggy (Bobby Jeff) Ogden; her legacy continues through her loving grandchildren, Justin (Katie) Trahan, Aaron (Chelsea) Trahan, Jake (Bethany) Trahan, Eric (Erin) LeDoux, Abby Landrum, George LeDoux and Waylon LeDoux. Melva was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren including James, Luke, Isla, Blakely, Sutton, Layton, Landree, Kaleb, Kory and Lillian.

Melva was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis LeDoux; sister and brother-in-law, Celia (John David) Kenner and her parents.

As we reflect on Melva's life, we remember her unwavering love for her family and her deep commitment to her faith. She leaves behind a void that will be felt by all who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide her loved ones.

Funeral services celebrating Melva's life will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Christ's Church of Jennings, LA, beginning at 2:00 p.m., with her grandson, Aaron officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service to begin.

She will be laid to rest in Basile Protestant Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date. That date is pending and will be posted when available.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Christian Youth Encampment (CYE), in Melva's memory, as a tribute to her enduring faith and devotion.

Melva LeDoux, we honor your life filled with love, faith, and family. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
