Melissa Broussard Istre, 58, was born April 8, 1961 in Gueydan, LA to Henry Broussard, Jr and Sandra Broussard. Mrs. Istre passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 10:35 a.m. in a local hospital.

Mrs. Istre was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur. She loved and adored her husband of 25 years, Charles J. Istre as well as her children and grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, daughter, Macera Lejeune; son, Kirk Lejeune and grandchildren, Larry Lee LaPoint, II and Robert Joel Singer, all of Lake Arthur.

In honoring Mrs. Istres’ wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.

Memorial Services  will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jared Thomas officiating.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon and continue until time of service.
