JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Lawrence Placide (Melba Mary Lee) LeGros, 92, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2009 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Timothy Richard officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. A rosary led by Deacon Frank Cormier will be recited at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. LeGros died at 7:40 p.m., Sunday, December 6, 2009 in the Maison De Lafayette. Mrs. LeGros was a homemaker and moved from Jennings to Lake Charles then to Mermentau Cove after she married. She was a substitute teacher at Midland High School and before she married she was the store manager at the Morgan and Lindsey store in Jennings. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau and the Ladies Altar Society. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Lawrence Placide LeGros of Mermentau Cove; one daughter, Connie and husband Deacon Frank Cormier of Lafayette; daughter-in-law, Melanie LeGros of Cape Coral, FL; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Emilda Gibson Lee; one son, Gregory LeGros; four sisters, Irene Lee Hoff, Julia Lee Bayhi, Quebelle Lee Young Gray and Ola Lee DeVilbiss; and two brothers, Jim Lee and Earl Lee.
