Funeral services for Mrs. Melba Jean Breaux Louviere, 75, of Jennings, will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in Miguez Funeral Home with Pastor Clifton LeJeune officiating.

Mrs. Louviere passed away September 21, 2017 at Heart Hospital in Lafayette. She was born in Gueydan, but lived most of her life in the Jennings area. She loved to cook and to sit on her porch drinking coffee watching the world go by. She especially enjoyed visits with her children and grandchildren.

Visitation at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings for Mrs. Louviere will begin Saturday, September 23, at 2:00 p.m. and will close at 9:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Sunday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.

Mrs. Louviere was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert William “Shonnie” LeGros; her parents, Elliot and Irene Racca Breaux of Gueydan; one daughter, Valerie Gail LeGros; one sister, Marjorie Breaux and one brother, Huland Breaux.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Irene (Raylan) LaFosse and Ina (Carson) Watkins, both of Jennings; two sons, John (Starlet) LeGros and David LeGros of Jennings; six sisters, Lena Doucet, Laura Hunnings, Linda Breaux, Shirley Denson, Rita Landry, and Telsa Breaux; two brothers, Leroy Breaux and Larry Breaux; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
