Funeral services for Mr. Maxie Paul Broussard, 69, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel.

Burial with military graveside honors will be in the Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.

Funeral home visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday; and 8:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel.

Mr. Broussard died at 11:45 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Broussard was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and served four years in the Lake Arthur Police Department. He also served in the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Department one year. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany and Vietnam. Mr. Broussard was a life member of the American Legion Post 403 and a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Judy Cormier Broussard of Lake Arthur; one daughter, Bridget Wood of Lake Arthur; three sons, Neil Broussard of Kaplan, Tony Morrison of Loreauville, Todd Morrison and wife Rhonda of Carlyss; one brother, Burt Broussard of Kinder; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sostan and Louise Benoit Broussard; and one sister, Hershal Abshire.

Pallbearers will be Tony Morrison, Devon Morrison, Dylan Morrison, TJ Guillory, Kenny Doucet and Ronnie Martin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Morrison, Kolby Morrison and Isean McDaniel.
