Mary Winona Broussard

October 1, 1929 — May 5, 2022

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Winona Vincent Broussard, 92, of Jennings, will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Trey Ange officiating.  Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Broussard will begin on Sunday, May 8, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. and continue until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m.  It will resume on Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until 1:30 p.m. for removal to church for service.

Mrs. Broussard was born on October 1, 1929, in Gueydan to parents Jon and Elia Istre Vincent.  She was a wife and homemaker.  She loved to sew and take care of her plants.  She was very faithful to say her rosary daily.

Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Mary Juneau of Jennings, Brenda (Charles) Dupont of Milton, and Martha Broussard of Lacassine;  five sons, Gregory (Dabie) Broussard of Greenwell Springs, Donald (Brenda) Broussard of Egan, Vincent (companion Ramona) Broussard and Mark (Patti) Broussard all of Jennings, and Jacob (Patty) Broussard of Gillis; three sisters, Zora (Wilfred) Woods of Gueydan, Marion Hargrave of Gueydan, Barbara Lemaire of Scott; sister-in-law Shirley Comeaux; twenty-two grandchildren; forty great grandchildren and one on the way.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roland Broussard; her parents; son-in-law, John Juneau; daughter-in-law, Danetta Broussard; grandchildren, Army Specialist Steven Dupont and Traci Juneau; great granddaughter, Emalie Joy Sanchez and sister, Myrtle Cain.

Her grandchildren will honor Mrs. Broussard’s wishes by serving as pallbearers.
