Funeral services for Mrs. Mary West Sonnier, 82 of Jennings will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jarod Thomas officiating, with cremation following the service. Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Sonnier will begin on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. and continue until service time at 2:00 p.m.

Mrs. Sonnier was born on August 23, 1938, in Snohomish, Washington to Clarence Paul West and Cora Estes.  Although she was born in Washington, she resided most of her life in the Jennings area where she worked in retail sales.  Mrs. Sonnier enjoyed arts and crafts, crocheting and painting. She was a very loving mom, grandmother and great grandmother.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Karin (Eddie) Yvonne Evans of Molino, FL; son, Derrick (Jenene) Sonnier of Jennings; daughter-in-law, Gayle Sonnier of T-Mamou; grandchildren, Brandon Evans, Tyler Evans, Tiffany Evans, Kristy Broussard, Jennifer Daigle, Katelynn Sonnier, Seth LeBlanc; ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James “Poppo” Sonnier; son, Danny Sonnier; and eleven brothers and sisters.
