Mary Lee Atchison

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Bobbie (Mary Duncan) Atchison, 75, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2009 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Fontenot officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Funeral home visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., today, Wednesday; and 8:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services. A rosary led by Deacon Bennett McNeal will be recited at 6:00 p.m. today, Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Atchison died at 7:56 p.m., Monday, February 16, 2009 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Atchison was a native of Fitler, Mississippi and a resident of Jennings since 1977 moving here from San Diego, CA. She worked in retail sales and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Mrs. Atchison enjoyed doing things with her granddaughters. Mrs. Atchison is survived by her husband, Mr. Bobbie Atchison of Jennings; one son, Charles Atchison of Jennings and two sisters, Ellaweeze and Margaret; two granddaughters, Ronda Atchison of Lafayette and Sondralyn Durham of Ft. Collins, Co; and one grand-grandchild, Kristoffer Durham of Ft. Collins, Co. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Washington and Mary Elizabeth Roberts Duncan; four brothers, Glenn, Billy, Irby and GT; and one sister, Esther.
