Funeral services for Mary Joyce Dugas Trahan, 75, of Lake Arthur, will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel in Lake Arthur with Father Roland Vaughn officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m.  It will resume on Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.

Joyce was born on November 9, 1947 in Jennings to Felix and Mary Benoit Dugas.  She was a Lake Arthur High School Graduate. She worked for Miguez Funeral Home as a hostess.  She enjoyed going to the casino, shopping, and spending time with her friends and family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Betty Deshotel; niece, Monica (Pat) LeGros; and her nephew, Greg Dugas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Olan and Stanford “Star” Dugas.
