Mary Beulah Marcantel

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Beulah Marcantel, 75, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in the Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings with Blaine St. Germain officiating. Entombment will be in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Funeral home visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. Mrs. Marcantel died at 1:22 a.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Marcantel was a native of Mamou and a 60 year resident of Jennings. She worked in the cafeteria at OLI. Beulah’s biggest passion and greatest accomplishment in life were her two children, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild. One of the last things she said to them was “Love is Strong.” She also loved spending time with her favorite puppy, Izzy. Beulah enjoyed dancing, reading, listening to music, playing bingo with the Council on Aging and spending time outside in her flower beds. Beulah’s beauty, strong spirit and love will be missed by all of her family and friends. Survivors include two daughters, Connie LeGros and husband Joey, Becky Fruge and husband Robbie all of Jennings; four sisters, Allavien Guillotte of Lake Charles, Mable Fontenot of Jennings, Delores Fontenot of Orange, TX, Amanda Cormier of Mamou; grandchildren, Jeremy LeGros and wife Amanda, Cassie LeGros and wife Kayla, Ashley Benoit and husband Jerrod, Megan Boudreaux and husband Marcus, Shannon Fontenot and husband Dusty; Shaina Sonnier and husband Derrick; 13 great children; one great-great grandchild and two Godsons, Larry Fontenot and Cho Bertrand. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elias and Gladys Reed Marcantel; and one sister, Mazie Bertrand and one brother Aubrey Marcantel. Pallbearers will be Joey LeGros, Robbie Fruge, Jeremy LeGros, Joshua LeGros, Alex LeGros and Cassie LeGros. Honorary pallbearers will be Maddox Boudreaux, Gabriel Sonnier, Hayden Fontenot, Landon Smith, Chase Smith and Deuce Benoit.
