Mary Ann Stutes

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Stutes, 76, will be held at 10:00 a.m., today, Tuesday, July 26, 2011 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with The Very Reverend Anthony Fontenot officiating. Burial will be in the Istre Cemetery near Morse under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation was from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Monday; and 8:00 a.m., today, Tuesday until time of services. A rosary was recited at 6:00 p.m., Monday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Stutes died at 12:43 p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2011 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Stutes was a native of Perry and a resident of Jennings 60 + years and was a graduate of the Jennings High School class of 1952. She was a retired clerk in retail sales. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and she loved playing bingo. Survivors include two sons, Dennis J. Stutes and Jessie L. Stutes, Jr. both of Jennings; two sisters, Rose Deshotel of Jennings and Emalise LeJeune of Eunice; two brothers, Webster Trahan of Bridge City, TX and Edward Trahan of Arnaudville; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Jessie L. Stutes, Sr. her parents, Iris and Meliza Schexnider Trahan; one sister, Mary Jane Royer; and two brothers, Leaze James Trahan and Howard Trahan.
