Funeral services for Mr. Marvin James Lantz, 59 of Crowley will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic in conjunction with the service for his mother, Mrs. Melanie Wiles.  Officiating the services will be Rev. Keith Pellerin.  Entombment will be in St. Augustine Mausoleum in Basile under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Lantz and Mrs. Wiles will begin at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021, and continue until approximately 10:30 a.m.

Mr. Lantz was born on January 15, 1962, in Jennings to parents Henry Joseph and Melanie Vidrine Lantz.  He passed away on August 24, 2021, in Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital after a brief illness.

Most recently Mr. Lantz had worked as a janitor. He enjoyed LSU and Saints football, cooking-especially BBQ and spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Chrystal Keath and two sisters, Imelda Savoy of Lafayette, and Phyllis Trahan of Jennings; and three grandchildren, Gabriel Lopez, Elicea Lopez and Richard Fuselier, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Lantz; his mother, Melanie Vidrine Lantz Wiles; and a grandchild Biancha Lopez.
