Funeral services for Mr. Martin Wayne “Gate” Richard, 73, of Jennings will be

Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Jay Alexius officiating. Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Richard will begin on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. and continue until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. It will resume Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 9:30 to leave for the church.

Mr. Richard worked as a supervisor in the oil and gas industry. He was a 1965 graduate of Goretti High School and lived in the Jennings/Lake Arthur area his entire life. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 3012.

Mr. Richard leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 54 years, Margene Istre Richard of Lake Arthur; two daughters and son-in-law, Laurie Mae Richard of Jennings; Julie Richard Agent and husband, Jimmy of Lake Arthur; son, Andy Wayne Richard of Welsh; two sisters, Cheryl Price and Rena Gaspard of Lake Arthur; two brothers, Raymond Richard of Lake Arthur and Gerald Richard of Johnson Bayou; 5 granddaughters, Alaina, Ashlyn, and Abby Agent, Ava Richard, Allie Fontenot and great granddaughter Zora Jane Agent and a fur baby, Daisey Mae.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin “Bybo” Richard, Jr. and Rena LeGros Richard and one sister Becky Roy.
